The group sculpture consists of toy dolls (Barbies) resembling fairy godmothers cast in heavy metal. However, they are not ethereal figures, but rather dark fairies connected to the earth. According to mythology, these dark beings live in the underworld and control the souls of the dead there.

 

In the gallery, sculptures are usually suspended on a strong chain shackled to the hanging scale that digitally measures their weight. To prevent the viewer from becoming a supposed victim of their dark power, their bodies are bound with a gold chain. According to mythology, this golden chain is made from Aphrodite’s belt and has the power to make anyone speak the truth and obey the one who has bound them.
