The reason why I have attempted to serially produce “plaster casts” is because I believe that they are in fact the most useful sculptural works of all time. In fact, they are very likely the only sculptures that truly heal a person. Yet they are makeshift works that must be destroyed after they have completed their service. To comment on this absurd injustice, I decided to design sculptures that could be repeatedly produced by a renowned high-tech company – in this case by SIEMENS – and not only produced, but also used.
