Artistic intervention on a non-functional chimney in the factory area.
The author’s intention was to return the aesthetically original technical building to nature. There were several sources of inspiration. Above all, the informal form of natural phenomena, such as termite mounds, stalactites, stalactites and eroded rock towers. Since the client insisted that the object should light up at night, the author included in the game the illusion of bioluminescence, which is already used by termites, among others. In order not to increase the light smog, preference was given to a gentle light intensity imitating natural processes. At night, the chimney therefore shimmers and shines, and during the day it sparkles thanks to the chrome pieces.
