The video uses the idea of a psychedelic experience of the world, which can be understood as a corrective to the dominant Enlightenment reason as well as the permeation of nature with artificial substances in the Anthropocene. The video Doll Inhalation (1992, 10 min) uses elements of woodoo. The highly transformative plot has an interesting material solution – a tea figure is encased in a layer of wax. Underneath, water boils and the wax evaporates. The performer inhales this essence of the woodoo doll, its story, its qualities into himself in order to trance. As in mythologies and shamanic rituals, through the ingestion of all the possible senses, understanding and the ability to heal occurs.
