Brace

Brace, 1990, (visual poetry), plaster, metal

Through various sensitive extensions of the body, the artist replaced the missing human organs capable of perceiving their surroundings, the planet and the universe as part of their own body. Such a sensitive antenna is another object designed for the oral cavity – the Straightedge (1990) made of a piece of wire, which again affects the flow of words, sensitizes the tongue and is perceived as a tool of visual poetry. The connection with rappers’ grills is probably not confirmable, but the globalisation of the world was seen by the author as an analogy of interconnectedness within the universe.
