PRESSSO

The manner of this installation is not at first sight apparent. It is a still life object with a cup of coffee (espresso), which the inattentive viewer may not notice at all. However, even though this installation may appear very minimalistic to the point of over-delicate, anyone who really notices what it is about will determine that, on the contrary, it makes a statement about something big, even monstrous, about imminent, undesirable changes. The surface of the espresso vibrates at short intervals. The asylum of the room suddenly becomes a flimsy shelter and it is uncertain whether the shelter itself is not hazardous for its user.
